Still waiting...more blues

Today, i recieved a call from the Vodafone billing department. They were asking for a payment that had been due for around twenty days now. I was notified that the bill had been delivered at my place, but the department hadn't delivered it citing 'door locked'.

Now,by the time i was delivered the bill, it was 28th already. So i decided that i'll pay the bill along with the next bill together(afterall, going to a vodafone store everyday isn't a game).

Now i recieve a call from Vodafone on my mom's number(i wonder how did they get her number) asking to pay up. Now that is surprising. If they had been that courteous, had i recieved the bill in time, and hence i would have payed up by now.

One and a half year later, still believe Vodafone is pathetic.

Waiting for MNP to arrive !

Nokia Sucks

After the visit to the Nokia care centre on the 2nd and 8th of April(twice on the 8th), again my phone started showing firmware related issues and had to visit the care centre again on the 27th. The centre was pretty confused with the issues the phone had been showing, and so was i. And what the centre people told me, almost every 3rd Nokia phone manufactured these days shows the same firmware problems. And funny to see, Nokia's database shows that the last time i had shown my phone was on the 22nd of February(and i've visited a dozen times after that).

This shows how pathetic Nokia's S40 phones have become. They are actually pathetic !

Do you feel the same ? Feel free to pour n your comments.

iPad Tips and Tricks

While browsing, i found a few great iPad operating tips. Thought it'd be a great share for guys out there who just bought the iPad. Here they are

Hard Reset the Pad

Just hold the top (power) and bottom front (home) button for a few seconds. Your iPad will restart. To force quit an application, all you need to do is to Hold power button until the 'slide to power off' appears and then hold home button until it quits.

Copy a whole paragraph

Instead of selecting those blue knobs and dragging them, tap on the editable text four times, and the whole paragraph is highlighted.

Read FREE Ebooks

The ipad doesn't support PDF format(thye sad part),but stil there's a way to get your book onto the pad. Convery your PDF books to the iPad supported ePUB format using Calibre.
Alternatively, Project Gutenberg has 30,000 free ePub books you can download, all of which have fallen out of copyright. There's lots of good stuff in this collection if you read classics, and the project even has an RSS list for new arrivals.

Instantly mute your iPad

In emergency cases, here's the shortest shortcut to mute your ipad. Hold down the volume button for about two seconds, and you're iPad's now mute.

Use the iPad Digital Photo Frame

When you wake the iPad, look to the right of Slide to Unlock. You'll see a flower. Click it. The slideshow will begin after a moment. Toggle the speed in Settings—oh, and while you're at it, turn off "zoom in on faces"—it tends to just grain/muck up your photos.

Take Sceenshots

push the power and home buttons fo a second and a half, and a 1024x768 screenshot would be saved in the photo library.

Scroll Pages Superfast

To goto the top of the page from the bottom, just tap the title bar once, and you're there.

Get more preview of your mail

If yopu find your mail preview to be less(with only two lines), you can increase it.

Go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts and Calendars and select "5 lines" under Preview. And you're done.

Use both the Virtual and the physical keyboards

While using Apple's bluetooth keyboard, if you'd wish to use the virrtual one, here's the way. Just hit the eject key on the physical keyboard and you'll see the vitual one.

Hope you guys find these useful
