This was one application mentioned on a show. The application lists recipie's by the celebrity chef Nigella Quick. A paid app. More on it from here

Thick buttons for android
This is one of the free appz for those Android users which find the traditional Android keyboard's keys too small for their hand. This application is free,and reportedly pretty good. More on it here

Google Goggles for Android
Another one of the location based applications pretty much easily available,but this one from the giant itself. Run the application, and point your camera, and you'll find out the servces in the direction you point e.g the Eateries,or sale in the direction pointed by the camera. Wire Goggles for Android
A fun application. This application allows you to view the given image pointed by the camera graphed into a mesh of wires. The application currently allows you to view the lines in four colors,with more colors expected soon.
