Nokia E50 - Personal Review
I finally got my hands on a friend's E50 a couple of weeks back when he was transfering a few tracks. It seemed to be a slim, long candybar phone.
The S90 Operating system was easily noticable, with the default bluish green theme, and the toolbar. The interface was well laidout, much to the standards of Symbian. The processor speed was quick enough to get all my keystrokes. The inbuilt F-Secure antivirus might have slowed down the phone a bit, but still it was running quite fast. It had applications for GPS navigation, and creating music, something which makes time spending easy for guys like me when you are all alone and have nothing to do. But i found a couple of cons with it. The keys are very small, are almost inserted into each other. I tried to dial my Vodafone number with it, and found that it always typed some other digit,as the keys were very close and the space between them was vey less. Also, when i tried to execute few applications in small time, the phone slowed down - something which should not occur in a Business segment targeted phone. Well, i wont recommend this phone to people who need to do some work rapidly, or with people with large fingers. This phone, in my view, is good for college going students, and casual people, who are going to buy a smartphone for the first time. Else it is a waste pleothra of superb features in a phone having a concatenated keypad and a slow processor.
