iPhone becomes a rockstar, has people waitin for it 'at night in the rain' !!!

Looks like the cellphone market is on the rocks. The source of the shake - Apple.

After it's pathbreaking iPod, Apple comes out with the much hyped iPhone(Gates, looks like you're windows mobile OS is in danger) !

The quad-bandphone has a 3.5in (9cm) touch screen, wi-fi, no keyboard, a camera and a web browser on board. It is also intended to be used as a media player to listen to music and watch video uploaded to it via iTunes.
The iPhone comes in two versions - 2Gb and 4Gb. the company(in order to stop blackmarketing) had decvided to allow each customer to buy only twi iPhones at a time(hope the Indian goverment learns something from it) !

would give eight hours of talktime, six hours of net use or seven hours of video watching.

Early reviews of the iPhone have been broadly positive but those who have played around with it said touch screen typing took some getting used to and data download speeds were very slow.

The handset has also been criticised because it does not use the 3G network, does not support instant messaging or voice-activated dialling and does not let people choose ringtones beyond the 25 pre-installed on it.

Well, it's damn clear that iPhone will have a great competition from rval company Nokia, with it's typical Symbian OS fans(Well, i'm a die hard symbian OS fan and guess what , i won't shift to any other phone unless it has something much betta than the Symbian has for giving).

The device costs either $499 or $599 and buyers must also commit to a two-year contract with AT&T in US that will cost them a minimum of $59.99 per month.

All those who buy the iPhone must activate it via iTunes, so no-one was able to call from their new handset as they left the Apple store(something i knew much before, but wasn't very sure about it).

I found on sites quoting the people who boughtit saying "It's a masterpiece of craftsmanship, polished aluminium - the weight and size, it just feels great. You like it from the first minute you touch it.".

The iPhone will be available in Europe later in 2007 and Asia in 2008.
