Is India ready for RnB-Rap ??

Is India really ready for Rap culture. Do Indians have a good understanding of what rap-hip hip culture stands for. This is one question 'm really confused on.

On one hand, artists like Karmacy and Jay Sean show that Indian mind is quite perfect to get Rap on its tips. But on the other hand, appreciation of mindless soulless rap shows that there is something wrong.

Indians do have a tendency of following the western culture. After being under British rule for 300 years, the western culture has a big impact on the Indian culture. But this specific culture which i believe is a creation of the American culture, is something new for the general Indian masses. Neither are there many big rap groups, nor any organisations to promote such. Its simply a genre in India which needs attention. Just the way rock culture has invaded India very strongly, someone should also help out clear the vision of the audence what is rap-hip hop culture actually. Its not about beats or girls or dope, but its about that state of mind one has when he takes everything in a specific manner, which is joyful yet serious on the base of the issue. Rappers like Eminem, P. Diddy, Nelly and Wyclef Jean have portrayed it wonderfully. The joyful nature of this culture is exhibited by the likes of Snoop Dogg and his D.P.G,Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland.

Its high time India should know what Rap is ...
