This year seems to be historic for India, After reaching moon, India now becomes 3G enabled. Earlier the freqiencies used for 3G communication were occupied by the Indian defence forces, but ater the request of the Indian Govt, they decided to leave these frequencies for the nation. Now Video calls, sper fast net speeds on the phone are gonna be a reality. This brings more boom for the Indian IT markets, as India is the biggest emerging telecom market in the world.
Hope the good developing times keep goin on !

Blackberry is back......with the Storm
Hi
I recently came across Blackberry's new offering, Blackberry Storm, which comes as another offering in the 'i-Phone killer' range, after HTC G1. Blackberry Storm doesnt have any keys on its body, it just has a software keypad just like HTC Touch. Running on Windows Mobile, it offers a pleothra of features . Although the keypad storm offers is one of the best of their kind, but i still find it to be damn slow when compared for real keypad. The processing speed that we found was satisfactory, but we would have liked the phone to be more quick in responses. The phone comes with a new feature called ' Accelerometer' . With this feature, users can rotate the screen automatically with the handling orientation of the phone. With this, users can also play interactive games like bowling just like they might have used to play with Nintendo Wii. The 112.5 x 62.2 x 14 mm , 155 g weighing phone sports a 360 x 480 pixels, 3.25 inches 65K colors TFT touchscreen. It also sports a 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels, autofocus, camera with video, and flash . It also carries built-in GPS. Here's what i found some Storm users speaking on some sites
"i feel ur pain~~this is not good~~i bought it to work with me( as the 8310 i had), but this "thing" keep disappointing me, im gonna return it too~~"
"I hate Blackberrys :) And this one has no WIFI, in 2008, almost 2009 a phone without WIFI sucks!! I prefer SE."
The phone doesnt bundle Wi-Fi services. A phone in this segment is just aint worth it without Wi-Fi in it, which is nowadays available in many lower business phones.

Indians...with Hip-Hop
On the 23rd Nov 08, around 8-9pm IST, i was watching VH1's show 'VH1 Playlist'. This time, it showed some 'Neha's playlist. To my amaze , i find that that playlist to be my playlist.
My playlist mainly consists of Hip-Hop and RnB. Indian girls love pop instead of such rapper stuff. Watching this, i just can say this.
When the hell Indian gals started loving Hip-Hop ??!!

India Under Attack.......again
26th November 2008, 21:20 hrs IST
It is at this time that India witnessed the biggest attack on it till date. Millitants coming from the sea infriltrate the monumental Taj Palace, Hotel Oberoi-Trident, and Nariman House - A transit home for the Israelis. They kill 150+ lives and 300+ get injured. Security forces take 59 hours to stop this nuisance, after millions of rupees lost, and a couple of hundred lives lost while they were attending marriage receptions or just habving their dinner. Its a bit late , but still have to say that i strongly condemn this attack, and favour the killing of the millitants who do such devilish actions. Grenedes from 'Pakistan Ordinance Factory' are found with the terrorists. Also found are automated firing weapons like AK47,AK56, and also some Chinese grenedes are found. All terrorists are from Pakistani origin. Captured terrorists are from Multan - a province n Pakistan. All this proves what India has been saying for years now - 'Pakistan is the base command for Indian terrorism'. Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI is found to be involved in the attack, along with Lashkar-e-Taiyaba,and Dawood Ibrahim's network.
I dont understand why do these millitants do this *ssholeness. Why cant all this bloodshed stop. I say that this so called 'Jehad' is bullshit, and Jehadis are devils, who should be killed at sight, along with anyone who supports them. Karachi should be wiped off this planet. That city is the terror capital of the world. Its high time that the G5 nations realise that its the world vs Pak terror, as pak is now the hub of international terror. Even the 9/11,London blasts, Indian Parliment attack, and now 26/11 attacks have Pakistanis involved. What more proof do we need to know that pakistan , a nation headed by an insane called 'Gilani' is the leader in world instability. And for the record, even Pakistani courts and hospitals have declaerd Mr Gilani as "insane" and "mentally unfit".
Muslims should spread awareness for education and careers so that all this mayhem stops. All this shit is just tarnishing their image as a religion, and insulting Mohammad the great prophet.
The whole UPA cabinet should resign, with Mr Shivraj Patil, the home minister(or what i'd say, the 'shame' minister) first, later followed by Sonia Gandhi Mr Manmohan Singh, our nation's weakest PM till date, Sriprakash Jaiswal , and the 'reserver' Arjun Singh. Why doesnt Sonia now condemn these attacks, she's always the first one to condemn if it happens in a small mosque. Why doesnt Arjun Singh come in front of the media now?? Why doesnt Amar singh call these terrorists ' victims' just the way he called the Delhi bombers encountered at Batla House,Jamia Nagar ?? Why isnt he donating to these terrorists? Why doesnt Raj Thackrey do Marathi politics now? Why doesnt he now say that the NSG commandos are non marathi's ?? Shouldnt these politicians be classified as "traitors" or "criminals" instead of "elected public servants" ?? All of them are a shame for the nation. Shame on you Indian politicians, you dont even deserve the litterbin, forget the official posts. It is only because of you jerks that we Indians have to suffer.
This goes out for the extremists
"Fuck Jehad, and Fuck you Jehadis"
And for Pak, who'se been trying to disintegrate India, listen to this clearly. An Indian says out to all of you.
" Kashmir was,is, and will be ours. We've had enough, we've said this over a million times, dont push us to the limit. Now stop this crap or you'll even lose Islamabad one day "
And finally, i gave my salute to all those, who in course of time, gave the supreme sacrifice to the nation - to the martyrs of this battle against terrorism. May the mighty Lord give enough strength to their families to cope with the hard times they're facing. A mention of the great martyrs of Mumbai , who gave their lives to protect the integrety of the nation.
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan National Security Guard
Gajendra Singh National Security Guard
Hemant Karkare Chief, Maharashtra State Anti-Terrorist Squad
Martyrs, Rest In Peace ! We're proud of you ! You're our National Heritage in true sense !

Death misses once again
November 17th, 2008 , 18:17hrs IST
I escape death again. I escaped death for the 4th time, but with comparatively lesser damages as compared to the previous ones.
I was crossing the outer ring road,at the Panchsheel Park Bus Stop. There is a around 3feet high and a couple of feet wide divider which seperates the lanes. From my lane, i climbed up that lane(as i do everyday). As i took a step furthur on the divider, and landed my foot on the other edge of the divider. I was wearing my new shoes, as i had a speech to give in one of the labs. I tripped off, and fell on the other lane , where every vehicle was running at speeds more than 50kmph. I landed straight on the road, where a Maruti Zen immediately missed hitting me on my head. If it had, my head would have been completely crushed. I could hear the brakes of that car very clearly, just as i could see the alloy wheels of the car very clearly shining like it was laughing at me. I'd say that i was just some inches short of my death. If my head would have been a few inches above the level it was(which was next to ground), i would have collided with the bumper of the car, and woud have died on the spot for sure. If the car was a couple of inches nearer to me, my head would have come beneath the right front tyre of the car(which carries a major portion of the car's weight) and would have smashed completely. I had escaped death thrice so closely, and this was the fourth time, so wasn't much scared of dying(but have to admit, it did really shook me badly for a few seconds). As the car went, i stood back on my feet, and took support of the divider, from where i fell off realising what had happened. My left foot(near the toe), my right palm(which had suffered a severe cut a couple of years back, another one of those incidents when i escaped death, the wound went just over a vein, my vein just missed the cut), and my right arm(near the elbow) have been bruised, and are aching right now, as i compile this message back at home, an hour after this incident had occured.
I haven't yet told anyone in my family about it, as they'll get too scared....! Those who know me very well, only they'll realise how much good is it to survive death without much aftermaths.
Have to say, if you know whats luck, ask me ! I escape death once every year, if not less. I need more luck for my survival .
Signing off to rest after this close brush with death.

Seriouys session flaw in powerscrap
Hi
I recently found a very serious flaw in the popular social networking site aggregator powerscrap, or rebranded now as power. The site poses a serious threat to the personal information of all users who use this site. Whenever you log off the site, it means that you can no longer use that service without again authenticating with the site. But this site allows you to do that, which is great for datathiefs. For example, if i have clicked on 'log off', and the site shows that i have been logged off, then if i click on the 'back' button on the toolbar, i can easily surf those sites, without any authentication. This flaw shows hopw the programmers at power are very weak, as they have aggregated four famous social networking sites ie facebook,hi, orkut and myspace on their list, and if anyone is signing in from that site, it means that the user is compromising the security of his account. Any novice hacker, who knows how to trap data can get the url of his session and keep on using it whenever he wants to. For users like me , for whom an id can mean a whole identity, it is very serious. Using such sites can means compromising on a lot of security issues.
Hope the guys at Power discover and fix this flaw.

Crome aint good
Last year in June, i reviewed on Safari for Windows. I had said then only that it wasnt a great browser, but something good for a change.
Google's recently launched browser 'Chrome' also comes in that league.....except to the fact that it needs a hell of changes to be adecent browser. Its too sluggish, takes a hell of time to install, and the panels are toocongested. Also, the meta-tag assistance embedded with the adress bar is just a waste of cpu power. I personally feel that this browser, in its current avtar isn't going to survive much in the current day internet, where pages are getting more heavier to process and load, and need lots of plugins. Moreover, most of the pc's used worldwide aren't the latest ones, and so new browsers are difficult to operate on them. Till now, i only find Opera(who at a whopping 20mb+ total occupied space) is the best browser. Its virus free, hassle free, quick, reliable, and error free. Plus, it has all the great features that Firefox throttles(although the removal of the tab scrolling through numpad, my most fav feature in that package was absent in the last version).
Hey you guys at Google, are you listening??

Some Interesting Sites
Hi
I found a few more interesting links on the net , and am happy to share them with you. Here they are
www.swaghousemedia.com
The home of the campaign "Paris for President" . The site takes a laugh at the recent US election scenario.
www.willitblend.com
Another hillarious site for you. These guys just love blending, and blend everything from neon rods to a brand new iPhone(yup, these guys blended the iPhone as soon as it was launched last year).
www.radioreloaded.com
While searching for a hindi soundtrack, which was not even on the movie's audio cd, i found it on this site, and also lots of other albums which i had been looking for. I'd call this site ' The Mecca' for all Bollywood music fans.
www.gsmarena.com
Another site which i found online while searching for cellphones. This site keeps reviewing all the latest handsets launched out by various manufacturers at their labs, with their smallest detail, in a ordered tabular form. It also shows what other users for this site think about the product.
Hope you people like and enjoy these sites

Some Lines I Simply Adore
Those flashing lights come from everywhere
The way they hit her I had to stop and stare
She's got me love stoned
I think I'm love stoned
She's got me love stoned
I think that she knows, think that she knows, oh, oh [repeat 2 more times]
Those flashing lights come from everywhere
The way they hit her I had to stop and stare
I'm love stoned from everywhere and she knows
I think that she knows
Think that she knows, oh, oh
And now I walk around without a care
She's got me hooked
It just ain't fair, but I...
I'm love stoned and I could swear
That she knows
Think that she knows, oh, oh
She knows, she knows, oh, oh
Justin......man, you got the point !

Fashion....its all good
Hi
Sorry first of all to all of you, as i had composed this entry a week back, but got time to publish it now only. It was all because of my busy scedule.
I went to see Madhur Bhandarkar's new offering "Fashion". The reality director has really came up with another great movie. The movie showcases the problems newcomers have to face in this modelling industry. Priyanka Chopra plays the newcomer, whereas Kangana plays an established supermodel, who dies at the end due to drug overdose. The movie shows how Priyanka struggles her way to the top, falls down, and again rises. I wont go much deep into the movie. I'd like you people to watch this movie, and rate it. I give it a 7/10.
Do you think the same?? I'll be pleased to hear from you.

A Question
Whenever i feel like everything's fine, everything gets crashed, an i have to start from the beginning. I'd like to ask fate why does this happen to me everytime!
The reason for the moment , is unknown !

A Confession
I have to confess finally. Jay Sean seems to speak up my story. Both his albums, Me against Myself and My Own Way seem to have the same story as of my life.

Just Thinking.....
Love is like a free bird
Leave it free
If it comes back, it is yours
If it doesnt, it never was !
Wondering if its true ??
Leave it free

Bush....On The Rocks !
Hello
I actually came across this article, and just cant stop myself from jotting it down here on the blog. As president George W. Bush hangs his boots as the President of United States in January, and starts preparing for it with Obama getting elected, there are still reasons to remember him(reasons which exclude Iraq war,Afghan war, 9/11, and financial crisis). Reasons, that make him an entertainer at par - his bloopers. Here is the compilation of his biggest yet funniest bloopers.
10) "Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream"
October 18,2008
9) "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family"
January 27,2000
8) "I hear there's rumour on the internets that were going to have a draft"
October 8,2004
7) "I know the human being jand fish can exist peacefully"
September 29,2000
6) "You work three jobs?...Uniquely American, isn't it ? I mean, that is fantastic you're doing that"
To a divorced mother of three on Feburary 4,2005
5) "Too many good docs are getting out of the business, too many ob-gyns aren't able to practise their love with women all across this country"
September 6,2004
4) "All of us in America want there to be fairness when it comes to justice"
September 20,2007
3) "Rarely is the question asked : is our child learning? "
january 11,20001
2) "Our enemies are innovative, and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we"
August 5,2004
1) "I dont particularly like it when people put words in my mouth either by the way, unless i say it"
November 10,2007
Well, have to say, this Dubyaman guy is just awsome, he should take up standup comedy as his next profession !

Dedication
This post is for someone , who's going to be out of contact with me for sometime. Here it goes...
You came in my life
with yo eyes full of glitter
in the season of chill
when the birds love to twitter
just to go away somewhere someday
Thats brought a turbulence
inside ma quiet head
and took away all the peace
just d way spring leaves shed
an year later you reappear
and time, deep in my life
and make it a confy ride
from a rash journey
you came as a breath
of morning fresh air
and reincarnated me
just like the autumn fair
a smile on your face
is all that i'd need
to recover from bruises
and wounds ma heart bleed
you shadow overcomes this world
and completes mine
n what i realise is that
youre d one truly divine
talkin to you
is what drives me
and its what
makin ma life chained melody
first time we went out
i was there,without a doubt
ma sunglasses on and ma luck strong
wanted that time to forever hold on
would have loved to be lost
at at an island ,only u n me
and remain there forever
to be untracable by man n technology
one day we decide
to put a stop, put all over
and you'll be out of ma life
like grass from ground after mower
and now when its time
to leave you and go apart
the only thing i hear
is what beats ma heart
it says
Goodbye my dear
It aint gonna be foreva
When we meet next
our seperation wont continue till eternity, never !
You came in my life
with yo eyes full of glitter
in the season of chill
when the birds love to twitter
just to go away somewhere someday
Thats brought a turbulence
inside ma quiet head
and took away all the peace
just d way spring leaves shed
an year later you reappear
and time, deep in my life
and make it a confy ride
from a rash journey
you came as a breath
of morning fresh air
and reincarnated me
just like the autumn fair
a smile on your face
is all that i'd need
to recover from bruises
and wounds ma heart bleed
you shadow overcomes this world
and completes mine
n what i realise is that
youre d one truly divine
talkin to you
is what drives me
and its what
makin ma life chained melody
first time we went out
i was there,without a doubt
ma sunglasses on and ma luck strong
wanted that time to forever hold on
would have loved to be lost

NDTV launches a new 'hidden' channel
I found a new channel on my Set Top Box's channel list earlier this week. NDTV launched its international movie channel 'Lumere'. It shows some globally critically acclaimed movies. This channel is in competition with Set Pix, Zee Movies, and Hallmark. I just saw one movie, Good Morning Heartache, a French movie, and liked it .
What are your views about it, have you got something to share , feel free to do so!

How to disaster proof your PC
Hi
I was reconciling some of the points that i'd keep in handy for making my PC 'Disaster Proof'. Here are a few points that would help you all
Keep defragmenting your all your partitions once a week to keep it working in top notch form.
Backup all the critical data on some storage media other than the primary hard drive.
Whenever you clean format your pc, make a ghost image of the partition on which the windows is installed. It would help you to set up windows and the settings quickly the next time you'd format the pc.
clean your CPU from inside once a year. Dust reduces the life of your hardware components.
Do check if all the heat emitting parts have an insulating paste to manage heat. If the paste is not there, the pc might be getting damaged as the other parts would be acting like a heatsink.
Do a disk cleanup operation once a week to get rid of all unwanted files which slowdown your pc's processing speed.
Always keep your PC's powersupply coming from a UPS. Voltage fluctuations damage the BIOS and CMOS very easily, and also damages other parts in the long run.
Hope these few small but useful tips improve your computing experience. If you have any question, or some troubleshooting assistance, feel free to ask me.

A simplified way to Shop Online
For All Those Who've Got Tired Of searching the Web for certain prodicts and end up with paid results
Hii
Its good to be writing back. Recently, one of my friends asked me some tips to take care of while shopping online. He was irritated at the fact that some specific online marketplace site would justr bring him some limited options, and he had to register from site to site in order to find that product.
Recently while surfing the web, i searched for Car+DVD Players. I was searching for DVD players online while i found this site, which gave me great results, and have to say, this site is a perfect site. It had all what i wanted - user reviews, starred ratings, tips on how to buy, and products categorised on various factors, such as price, type, etc. This site crawls the web like google, and finds out result, which is not in case of traditional paid product advertisement. That makes this site a shopper's delight . Another link i liked was the Shopping for a Cause link.
This site also gave some tips on how to take care of things, and so. One of the links i liked on the site is the Car audio and video Guide link.
Well, i do hope that some of the readers do find find themselves shoppin wiki.

Quick Tips to keep in mind before buying a new PC
Hii
I had recently compiled a list of smart tips, which anyoen buying a new pc or laptop notebook should keep in mind. Although following thewse tips may be initially not tempting, but they'll add to your advantage later, during the time of upgradation.
Always go for an great decent performing sound card. These sound cards may be a bit costlier than their alternatives, but the sound they give even with the cheapest possible speakers, would be a hell more than what a combination of costly speakers and cheap sound card gives. Also, they'll give you the ultimate sound experience in movies and games. Costly speakers can only improve the output performance of what input the sound card sends it to process, they cannot improve the input. I personally use a Rs300 2.1 chinese speakers, but my soundcard is Creative Soundblaster(and still i can bet my room can be a pub or a disc any time you want, with any sort of party music playing giving the pub experience). I can go on with this combination for years now, as the sound reproduction this arrangement gives me at full volume is as good as almost the what a dolby digital cinema hall gives(and sometimes even a bit better). I can listen to even the most minutest sound detail in any track or audio clip, even with these cheap speakers, or even free headphones which i recieved from Kingfisher Airways during a flight.
Always go for a great graphics card. Note that their RAM must be a bit more than what most of the games require at the time of buying. A few hundred rupees would give you a longer time for using that card, and hence would easily delay the time before you upgrade that graphics card. I have NVIDIA RIVA TNT(which used to produced ages back, and NVIDIA hasn't provided any updates for it since 2001), but still it plays games upto NFS7 easily(and even some of the current day games without any upgradation).
Try to go for an integrated on-board branded graphics and sound card. This reduces the damage to these cards in case any electrical fault occurs. Also, this makes configuring these cards, and managing them much easier. I have all my cards on board, because of which i hardly have never configured these cards. They get configured automatically at the time of Windows installation, and same for Direct X.
Do a market check for which products are giving you the best performance. Products of different brands with the same technical specifications are priced almost similar, but a few bucks improves the performance many folds. So dont think much about saving a few bucks(if all that comes in your budget).
Do a research on what factors of a product are critical for a buyer. For example, the RMS output of a speaker is more important than its peak output, because what we hear is at RMS output, not peak output power. We'd like to pay for performance, not capability.
Mark out to what use do you want to put your new computer to. Buy only according to what if you need those set of features. For example, buying a gaming pc and using it in the office for presentations and ducuments is just a waste of money and resources.
Follow these tips and i can guarantee that you wont be unsatisfied about the new pc you buy. Hope you find these tips useful

Bigg Nightmares........with Bigg Boss 2........!
I checked out the season 2 of Bigg Boss, which is being aired on Viacom's Color's. And i'd rather say "it is bullcrap"(a term which i coin especially for this superpathetic show) ! Rahul Mahajan, and others quarrel, abuse each other, publicise their stupid private life, and bore the hell out of us on national television. Even though their contract says that they'll be evicted the moment they abuse anyone, still they haven't been put off air(probably because the show'll go off air without any result, without any winner). I'd say these people must be shameless to be associated to such a horrible show. I pledge not watching even a single episode of bigg boss......whatever season may it be !

First Take Of the Elevate
Nice Place......But not upto the expectation
Those were the thoughts i had on my mind while entering ncr's most hyped disc - Elevate . Situated at centerstage Mall,Noida, this disc has the privledge of having big names of the world like Bryan Adams, 50 Cent , Mobb Deep, Nelly Furtado performing and Indian celebrities like Suneil Shetty , Akshay kumar visiting it whenever they're going by this city. Elevate, known for its great crowd, and great music.
Well, i went on the 28th, the day next to when Jay Sean had visited this place. And there were some trails of his appearence, some sign boards welcoming him, and a Ray Ban counter(which had been dismantled by the time i had left the place).
This place was hosting my college's freshers party which my college seniors had organised. The place was packed with guys and gals sweating it out on the dance floor. DJ Nikhil was playin there, and have to admit, he rocked us guys at many occasions(even while some of the tracks he mixed and played live were fine enough only to shake the leg to the rythm, not something like for the party). We could have even got Decibel(the band behind the famous Naagin - The Lady Cobra).
As i entered the dance floor, i could see the dance floor. The ambience was completely black, with seating arrangement on both sides of the dance floor. Just opposite to the dance floor was the bar, with only a few mocktails and beer being served(cuz we're college guys, right !).
I arrived at elevate a bit late(the party started at 12:30pm while i reached at 2, and went out when the party was over at 5). During those three hours, i danced, and enjoyed every bit(even though i couldn't even have thought at 11 that i'll be there). The whole thing was completely unplanned for me.
Although this was one of the most biggest pubs in India, i found it not as big as i had expected(even though i accept that it was one hell of a place...it simply rocked). The entry ticket was pretty costly(compared to other pubs) at Rs650 an entry for one, including unlimited snacks and mocktails. Usually the entry starts from Rs1100 for a couple and goes till Rs2100(to what i know). This price list soars terrificly during the party season like New Years Eve, andz so.
At the end, i can say that i enjoyed a damn lot, and i'll be back there soon to sweat a lot more than i did this time.

A Hillarious Video !
I recently found a great video online at Youtube. Thought it would be a great share. Check out the vid for yourself
ISD calls as cheap as 1 buck a min......right at your doorstep
Yes Yes...........You're not dreaming
Calling an international number from India is going to be cheaper than even a local call to mobile. MTNL , in association with Aksh Optifibres Limited, has introduced its VOIP services. The service would be known as Pigeon. This service would allow ISD calls to be as cheap as Re1/min. For users like me, who spend a lot in calling International destinations, its a grab at once opportunity. Till now, i've selected Airtel as my international carrier, which charges me Rs2.99/min to USA,UK,Canada and Landlines in Europe, after paying Rs79 per month as monthly rental on my cellphone.
Pigeon charges Rs100 as registration and installment charges(which are seperate from the MTNL landline installment charges), and after that Rs200 per month(which is roughly around 5US$) per month. More info is available on www.pigeonvoip.com
Feel free to pour in your comments on this!

Food For Thought
I recently read a quotation ,and it has grabbed by attention.
Love is not that feeling that
along with someone one feels happy
but without one feels emptiness.
Wondering if this is true or not !

Google unveils G1
Hi
On the 24th of September 2008, apple released its phone - the G1. Termed as the 'iPhone killer' , G1 was released in US by Germany based T-Mobile(part of Deutche Telekom).
The phone is manufactured by HTC Corporation, and operates on Google's 'Android' operating system. Priced at 179$, it is slightly cheaper than its Apple counterpart. According to what people who've seen and tried this phone, the review is that it is an extremely feature packed phone, which doesnt have the great looks of iPhone. On the feature's end, it is heavily loaded.
For more info, you can also check out t-mobileg1.com - The official site for this phone.
Lets see what people comment about this phone when it releases late this year. Does it live up to its association with the name 'Google' ? That'll only time will tell.

Rock on is On !
I had checked out 'Farhan Akhtar's debut acting movie "Rock On" , which released in theatres on August 27. The movie talks about a band of four. The band depicted resembles U2(or can be said to be inspired from the legendry band). Farhan plays the lead vocalist,Arjun Rampal plays the guitarist,Purab plays the drummer, while Luke Kenny plays the guy at the keyboards.
The movie is about the band's struggle along with time(as they face battles with other bands, and internal mutinies). The movie shows how these guys fight serious matters and emerge out as the winners.
The movie starts with a rehersal, which leads into the track "Socha Hai". All this happens within 5inutes of the starting of the movie(actually, even before the display of the title of the movie). The movie then moves to the future, from where it shows what had happened in the past to land them up in their current situations ( which is commonly seen in movies these days), and how do they stand clear of their problems and reunite themselves as a happy group.
All the actors - whether Farhan,Arjun,Luke,Purab, Koel Puri , or Prachi Desai(the newcomer in the movie) have perfomed well. Prachi has adopted a doll sort of a look in the movie, which happens to be her debut movie(way to go for her, her very first movie is a blockbuster).
Music has been a stronghold for the movie.Rock On,Sindbad The Sailor,Socha Hai,and all the other tracks are awsome and brilliant. Any rock fan(and i mean any) , would just feel the music in their veins, as the movie goes on.
I had heard some people saying that they expect that the movie was crap. Well, They were pathetically wrong. I expected it to be an average movie, if not good. Farhan Akhtar has a name in the Indian markets for producing great, trendsetting movies. His earlier two movies, Dil Chahta Hai(2001) and Lakshya(2006) were brilliant, and were in my list of great movies. Rock On brings another name in that list.
Also to say, the length of the movie is around 140mins(or a little more than 2hours), so its duration is also good. Farhan has made the movie "short","smart" and "snappy" !
I'd give it a 4 out of 5 , for the great music, great story, and excellent entertainment. So any of you who'd like to watch some movie these days, dont forget to check out 'Rock On' .

How should be a perfect breakfast
Hi
This is one of the biographic posts i'm writing on this blog. I had been experimenting for years for the ideal breakfast. Breakfast, as they say, is the most important meal of the day, as it sets you going for the rest of the day. I firmly believe that having oily or burgers for breakfast is suicidal for the day(unless you cant afford anything else......or nothing's else's available).
Well, i found out the perfect breakfast menu. I had the following in my breakfast
A plate of fruit salad
A Sandwitch(i tried out jam along with it, you can try some spread along with it)
A plate of noodles(specifically speaking.....maggi)
A can of Red Bull(to get everything to be digested quickly)
A glass of Lemonade (after half an hour........for getting the extra spark inside me to stand all that heat in these Indian summers).
What do you say about it, hows this breakfast menu?? What all can you suggest me to add in his menu to make it more better ?
Hoping to listen from you people soon.

I-Phone sux in India
Hi
According to what i've heard from my friends who've bought Apple's much hyped 'I-Phone' , they say it was a complete waste of their money. The I-Phone sld in India by Airtel and Vodafone are locked , which means anyone who buys these phones cannot change their operator. Also , these i-phones also cannot connect via bluetooth to other bluetooth devices except other i-phones. This means that the users of such phones can only exchange data from other i-phone users. Also, the data connection charges are somewhat high, with Vodafone charging 5p/10kb(only checking the mail would empty our pockets, forget about google maps or gps services).

Hip-Hop - Is it a thing of the past??
Thats the question that i've been asking to myself these days. Are the days of Hip-Hop over? Has the fire for Rap extinguished? Has the R&B\Hip-Hop-Rap era over??
Frankly speaking, music these days has been inflated by rock(and that also some senseless rock). Music these days has gone terrible. There are artists like Scott Stapp singing something(something because i just couldnt make sense of what he shouts). Even if it were superb bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi, Green Day, or even InXS, i would have certainly been happy. But such artists have taken down the name of rock , and most importantly, has damaged a lot to the ongoing music trend, which was dominated by Hip-Hop. I still remember that something around 2003, i had heard some of the best music that i've heard till date. 2003 was what i'd call " Historical Year of Brilliant music". 50cent,Usher,Eminem,Nelly, and others took the world music scenario to a whole new level. Pubs and discs were places where you couyld have heard tracks like Usher's 'Yeah' being played 24x7(and still then people wouldn't get bored of it, even to the presemt date). That year also saw artists like Janet Jackson had took up RnB. It also brought some awsome historical artists like Norah Jones. Bands like Nickelback, U2, Bon Jovi returned to create great record-breaking music. Thats also the year i heard Robbie Williams, an artist i shall always listen to for his great album "Escapology". 'The Eminem Show' had created waves, which can even now be felt easily in the industry's new productions. Although many of the tracks and artists mentioned here didn't have any sort of relationship with Hip-Hop, but it cannot be denied that Hip-Hop was the main source for creating the perfect environment for creation of great timeless music. Same was in 1990's during the time of rise of Snoop Doggy Dogg and Tupac Shakur. When 2Pac had released California Love in 1996, we had got some of the best music that we've had heard of. Some of my all time fav's are from that time zone only. Both these artists, only on their old school style and name, sell more than what Timbaland or Daddee Yankee sell out with their new upbeat albums. Artists like Justin Timberlake, better known for pop, entered in this genre, and created a few classy tracks(which shall remain in my playlist for a long long time). I personally prefer listening to 'Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" more than "Escape". Even artists like Mobb Deep, who weren't much popular in 1990's got recognition in this era with tracks like "Have a Party"(which had once become a part of discs) and "My Band".
This era has also seen performers like Timbaland, who ,while attempting to become a second Hip-Hop Kingpin "Dr Dre" , has led to promotion of Rock(and know what, he's failed in becoming a kingpin too, even though he's a commercial success).
Looking at al this , i think that this era hasn't yet completed its span. There are a few more great rap anthems to be composed and sung, before this era comes to an end. Kayne West's album "Graduation" makes me feel so . I still believe that hip-hop can still emerge as the ultimate power in music industry. I feel that there is only Hip-Hop/R&B?Rap which can control Rock. Hope some of you(and not all) would agree with me.
Do wite down and share what you think about this subject! Is the era over?

Goody's Back........but in the Boss
Yup, you read it right.
Jade Goody, who was criticised for her racist remarks on Shilpa Shetty, will now participate in the "Big Brother"s Indian version "Big Boss" which starts airing on Viacom's Indian channel 'Colors' , hosted by Shilpa herself.
Wtf !
Is Jade Goody Shameless......or she's trying to prove she ain't a racist, that only time will tell.
Seems like Goody wants more of insult, maybe because she can't get enough of it ...... or she's gone psyco ! But one thing's for sure, it aint gonna be a goody experience for her.

I-Day Note
Today, on the 62nd Indian Independence Day, i congratulate all Indians spread throughout the world. It really feels good on this day when we look at the small but very important achievements Indians do for their nation. When facts like "Majority of staff in NASA are Indians" , "Indian kids outshine everyone in NASA's space settlement ddesign competition" , and "US cannot do without India" come across me, i find myself very proud to be a part of this ancient primary civilization. Hundred years back, Mahatma Gandhi had once said that once India has been freed, within the next fifty years, the British would have lost control of all their colonies, and know what , in 1992, with the creation of South Africa, he became correct(and India completed its 50th year of Independence in 1997). Such a powerful force India is !
And a special mention on this day to the defence forces. I salute the third largest army in the world for their struggle to preserve the Indian integrity and sovergnity . Their spirit and struggle can be seen easily in this really inspiring clip.

A Lappy Repair Experience
Yesterday, i went to Asia's biggest computer market, Nehru Place , situated in New Delhi, India. My laptop had charging problems, hence i needed to go there to get it fixed. Initially, i went to the guy who checks out my pc. He said that the charger adapter was damaged and i had to buy a new one. Then i went to a specialist in laptops(as mentioned on the display board). He said that the charging port of the laptop, as well as the adapter were damaged, and both had to be repaired. In cas i only get the adapter changed, and not repairing the port, the charging point would get moulded and get stuck with the lappy's charging point. I decided to show the laptop to some more people who had the board of "laptop repair" mentioned on their boards. I refered them the same that the first laptop repair guy had said, and all the other people said that the lappy would work good and wouldnt give problems. I acted as the majority suggested and purchased a chinese adapter for Rs 650 from one of the shops.
While writing this blog, the new adapter's point has melted with the lappy, and now the lappy is a hazard to use. Its been 15mins now since i noticed this tragedy has happened to me. I had to hussle around for around 5hours just to find that the technicians have messed up the whole matter. Within less than 6hours of me returning back to home after a hectic day,i find that all the stupid technicians at nehru place did mess up the matter. Now i have to spend something around Rs1500 , one complete day, and even then my lappy might not be in top notch condition. I'd suggest all of you that you should take your precious laptop computer only to the company authorised service centre for getting them upgraded , or fixed. Desktops can be taken to such individual technicians, but laptops should never be taken to such people, after all they just might make the deal a hell costlier for you.

Death match in AoE2 Over !
During my vacations, i had started playing Age Of Empires 2 ten days back, and am happy to say that i've completed all the death matches, in all levels. U, being more of a geek, and a least probable gamer, am excited being completing such a game in so little time span.
I'm very happy today ;)

Drink Review - Battery
Hi
I recently had tried out another energy drink, called 'Battery'. The name seemed more clumsy , rather than interesting, because the car battery does spit out acid when its life is over. Moreover. a battery gets discharged if its not used for a long time(Now i wonder what were those guys thinking while naming that thing).
Well, getting started with the real thing, i'll first start with the looks. The can looks more like a beer can, rather than an energy drink can(primarily because its big, usually the energy drink cans are slim and small). The can hasa shiny silver color on it, with the product's name written clearly on it. The can also states that the drink should be avoided before sleeping(something, that i would have liked to know earlier).
The can contains 330ml of the drink, something that the other energy drink labels aren't able to provide that this price(Rs70 in India or something around US$ 1.5).
Well, i was trying this thing at morning, along with the breakfast, and while i guzzled up the whole thing, i found it to be much better than the most of the 'Red Bull' alternatives(even though nothing is as good as the bull) ! The content being 330ml(rather than the 250ml of red bull), just got me up do get along the hectic day ahead. So it gets a 5 star for working upto the mark.
Overall, o'd rather give it a 4 out of 5, for doing everything, as well as red bull(if not better).

Vodafone goes tactical
Hii
The last time i was coming from Jaipur to my place at New Delhi,i found out something about Indian telecom companies - they have stupid company policies . On my Vodafone connection(Out of the two connections, the other one is Airtel) , when i was roaming in Haryana telecom circle, i recieved the following message -
"Roaming Tariffs Slashed. Now recieve incoming calls at Re1/min, make outgoing STD calls @ Rs1.5/min and local outgoing @ Re1/min (NOT APPLICABLE ON CALLS ON AIRTEL NETWORK) !!
WTF ???
When i enquired the Vodafone consumer care, they told that it was some company policy. WTF?? Is Vodafone trying to get an edge over Airtel by doing such stupid policies. Well, it surely wont help them much over the fact that they dont have their network present in many states here in India.
While Airtel has no such policy till what i know at the moment.
Have to say, telecom in India still needs a hell of improvement.

Current - The Energy Drink......A Review
Hii
Its good to be writing back. I just tried out a new energy drink, called Current. I found it at the neary american dollar 99 store for Rs75 a can. Its packing looked like any other drink, but the graphics on the can made me feel like the drink was meant only for drinking with alcohol . It was a slim, weak can which might have bursted if it had fell from my hands.
Well,After i bought it, i opened the can , and guzzled it slowly, to check whether it really gave some current ot not. Well, i found it to be the weakest possible energy drink thaty i've ever tried, it was much weaker than power horse. For all those of you who're an enthusiast about energy drinks, i'd rather say "avoid this drink". i'd give a mere 1.5 ot of 5 to this drink.
Hope some of you who have tried out this might have the same opinion. Please feel free to share your views here. All comments are welcomed.
Media's Mayhem...........need a break from it !!
These days media has gone nuts or so. Recently i found the cover page of a leading newspaper having an article on "Salman's new hairstyle" !! Wtf !! Is it really that important for the nation????
On Radio Mirchi, eveyday some stupid guy named "Sudd" (Or something like that) comes and blares out his dum jokes, All that crap makes me irritated and angered instead of happier.
Seems like media has gone mad these days. Channels like IBN7 show the same documentry after one year , under a new name. Some of their news specials are damn ridiculous to watch.
Well, i've got some more bad experience to share.
A few days back,i just was surfin through the channels when i found this channel 9x showing some epic show. On watching the show, it seemed that the director was nuts. The storyline was crap. And to my amaze, one of the characters was looking a drunk jerk, instead of looking like a saint that he was playing. Later i found out that the show was the 'crap' queen "Ekta Kapoor"'s "Kahaaani Hamaaray Mahhabhaarat Kii" !
Damn, writing the name of the show freaks me out, Ekta Kapoor, you suck bigtime !! We already hate your "Kkk" shows, your 'Balaji Entertainment Ltd', dont u get sick of your own bakwaas !!0
Just stop producing all this crap. We want some entertainment. Are you listening thy media??

Airtel,Vodafone about to launch I-Phone in India
Yes, you heard it right. Airtel and Vodafone are about to launch the much hyped i-phone in India. Both Airtel and Vodafone have confirmed the news. They have confirmed that the i-phone that will be launched in India will be the latest 3G edition. Although both the companies dont comment if the phone's 3G capabilities would be useable in India, or it would only be 2G features that could be used. Most probably, the i-phone released would be the $199 8Gb version.

Firefox, after the much hyped 'download day' , is again in the news....and for the wrong reasons. Its come to the notice of the users that there's some extreme critical flaw in it.

Yahoo brings new domains , for promoting email among its uers!!
Yahoo recently brought new domains for its users to get registered with. Yahoo users usually register for flicker, yahoo messenger or other yahoo services. Hardly halk of its users use its email service, mostly because they dont get the desired id. This, what i think, drove yahoo to plan another strategy to attract new users yahoo over selecting gmail or hotmail for registring a new id. This would increase the availability of the desired ids at yahoo. Yahoo now offers @rocketmail.com and @ymail.com ! Rocketmail was a small email hosting website which yahoo bought in the late 1990's.
Hope that'll improve yahoo's performance !

Orkut Goes Indian.......
Hello Everyone
Seems like Google has found out the force behind its booming popular social networing site - Orkut ................ Indians . A couple of days back , i noticed something unusual in the welcome screen when i logged into Orkut. Here is what i noticed .
Google has set up a new server just for its Indian users. Lately Orkut users were complaining that Orkut and other google sites were becoming very slow . That was due to all t7he heavy traffic Google was gettign because of Orkut users. And majority of the Orkut users are Indians. So Google must have thought of getting a new server to get rid of all the complains. And one more thing, it took me more than two attempts to upload and publish this post.
Seems like Indians are dominating the internet !

Apple has launched the 3G edition of its popular I-Phone .

Security Gadgets................. A Short Comprehensive Overview
Brought to you by http://infinit-tech.com
Hi
It feels good to be writing back!
Well recently, the administrators at my school(yess...the very admin who used to hate me for all the exploits i used to discover in his systems) contacted me with an uncommon problem. It seemed like someone was accessing the network illegally, and he had the necessary knowledge of the network that the admin had assembled. The admin asked me to find out a few pages from where he could get a few tips on the latest switches, routers, servers, firewalls, telecommunications and security products. On his humble request(and for all the stress i had given him during my school days), i found out a few of the links which i fonud to be very informative. Here they are
For Network security tips and products,
http://www.infinit-tech.com/Network-Security.php
For Networking related trivia,
http://www.infinit-tech.com/Networking.php
For all the latest servers and their classification,
http://www.infinit-tech.com/Servers.php
And for all your telecom queries,
http://www.infinit-tech.com/Telecommunications.php
I found that this site did review products and put them on sale from all the big brands like HP,IBM,SenecaData,Cisco , and Avaya to name a few.
So i suggest you that the next time you think about buying anything for your network, do check out these links.

Sci-Fi Lord Sir Arthur C Clarke expires
On the 18th of March, Sir Arthur C Clarke - the only writer who i've read till date , expired at his residence in Sri Lanka. This brought a great shock for millions of his fans. I found his sci-fi works extremely interesting, something which propelled me towards my interests in technology.
As a writer, he was most famous for 2001: A Space Odyssey, both the novel and the 1968 film. This was one book which i read only to find the great mix of realism and fiction. I also liked his 2010 book. He continued writing until the end, finishing his final book only a few days ago.
As a thinker, Clarke was credited with transforming the world telecommuniciations through his proposal back in 1945 that man should use geosynchronous satellites, satellites orbiting above a single spot on earth, as relay stations. It was an idea before its time.
Hats off to you Sir, for exciting our imaginations . I'll surely remember him for inspiring me to become what i am. Without his inspiraton, i might not have been the person i am right now !!

Modu's here.........................so is the competition
Well, now i'm gonna tell you about a new device which is going to revolutionalise the mobile communication world. Modu, the next generation mobile device which changes its functionality as its jacket changes. Dont believe me, just check out these pictures
Basic Modu
Side view showing the partitioning line between modu and its jacket
Modu's special feature is that it changes functionality along with its jacket. This means, you can from just a phone turn it into a communicator , become a full-fledge multimedia phone, a portable media player, a car sound system, a full car GPS, a bike mini-GPS, just by changing its jacket. Isn't that great ! The jackets are sold seperately from the main station. The price is great too: $200 for the basic module plus two jackets. The company says it plans to introduce other jackets for $20 to $60, which is quite an agressive strategy. Hopefully they'll be coming in Europe by late this year.
I hope this might rouse the interest in the technoholics out here.

Nokia E50 - Personal Review
I finally got my hands on a friend's E50 a couple of weeks back when he was transfering a few tracks. It seemed to be a slim, long candybar phone.
The S90 Operating system was easily noticable, with the default bluish green theme, and the toolbar. The interface was well laidout, much to the standards of Symbian. The processor speed was quick enough to get all my keystrokes. The inbuilt F-Secure antivirus might have slowed down the phone a bit, but still it was running quite fast. It had applications for GPS navigation, and creating music, something which makes time spending easy for guys like me when you are all alone and have nothing to do. But i found a couple of cons with it. The keys are very small, are almost inserted into each other. I tried to dial my Vodafone number with it, and found that it always typed some other digit,as the keys were very close and the space between them was vey less. Also, when i tried to execute few applications in small time, the phone slowed down - something which should not occur in a Business segment targeted phone. Well, i wont recommend this phone to people who need to do some work rapidly, or with people with large fingers. This phone, in my view, is good for college going students, and casual people, who are going to buy a smartphone for the first time. Else it is a waste pleothra of superb features in a phone having a concatenated keypad and a slow processor.
Travel Experience - Rajasthan Tourism
This time when i decided to return to New Delhi from Jaipur,i, being weak due to the Viral Hepititis i suffered during December last year, decided to take the Rajasthan Tourism Volvo, instead of the bumpy Roadways buses. It's ticket costed Rs460, about more than thrice of the Roadways buses fare. I took the 3pm bus from Jaipur's central bus stand 'Sindhi Camp'.The bus started off and after about 20minutes,stopped at 'Narayan Singh Circle', Jaipur's second biggest inter state bus stop. From there, a few more passengers boarded the bus. The bus conductor, then distributed small mineral water bottles. These bottles, which carried 400ml water, could have easily fitted the pocket of my jeans. From there, the bus started and after about 20more minutes, the conductor flipped the CARBON LCD's fitted at the roof, and started playing a movie DVD. Then flew away a couple of hours, watching the movie. The movies in the DVD were new,had released within the last couple of weeks. The movie was then pauseand the conductor announced a 15min break at the RTDC midway at Behror. The bus halted, and i went off the bus. I ordered 'Idli Sambar'- a low oil South Indian dish. I could have ordered from other cuisines too, but the medical restrictions restrained me from doing so. After i boarded the bus again, the movie continued. After about 30 minutes, the movie finished. Then a discussion started about the movie with the doctor on the next seat for the next couple of hours. I boarded off the bus at 'Dhaula Kuan' - The first interstate bus stop of New Delhi. Now looking back at that journey, i think that t would have been a value for money at around Rs 360, seeing that a normal journey costs 150 bucks, and so does a movie at a multiplex. Well, i enjoyed this journey a lot.

Bluetooth Headphones - an experience
Brought to you by http://wize.com/headphones/
Its been a long time since i last tested some of the latest technologies, and so i decided to visit my nearby tech dealer for the latest innovations.
During the stroll through his shop, i saw a magnificent pair of speakers . On concentrating, i saw it had no wires. This beauty was a wire free bluetooth headphone. I loved it. I wanted to buy one too. Life's getting too comfortable because of science and technology.
Then i went back to my place and went online. During browsing, i saw this site
http://wize.com/headphones/
This has reviews for all the great bluetooth available in the global market. Also on http://wize.com/headphones/, i found that there were reviews by the users, which made it easier for me to decide which one to buy. This was one feature i liked the most, i'd suggest should consult such sites before parting with out cash.
Hope to see your responses on these thoughts !
